Deepak Negi is currently a student at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi studying LLB. He strives to be a help to the student community at large and hopes that with his efforts, he will be the catalyst to a change in the society for the positive. Apart from studying to be a lawyer from one of the top notch law schools in the country, thus empowering and enabling him to serve the society better, he believes in utilizing the moment and working his best for the student community that he is a part of while at the moment.
To be a responsible and active citizen of any society would involve overt participation in all important and even seemingly unimportant course changing socio-economic events. Deepak Negi hopes to achieve that and has set a commendable yardstick by establishing quite a rap sheet of work done in that field. It includes organizing various camps such as blood donation camp, being part of various committees and so on. Apart from all this, he has had an active history of being an avid social worker, having had worked for an NGO. Ofcourse, this experience enables him to understand and serve the society better. Also, he is an RTI activist and firmly holds onto their ideology.
Being a former President of the Dyal Singh College, Delhi University, Deepak has had a first hand insight to the nuances and workings of an administrative system. This experience empowers him to understand and, thus, serve the society and the community better. During his tenure, he has been a role model leader, organizing various workshops and camps to make a positive change in any slightest way possible. This, however, is not the end of his political inclinations. In 2009, Deepak contested the famed DUSU (Delhi University Students' Union) election with the much coveted and awed NSUI (National Students' Union of India) ticket.
Ofcourse, politics must have an equal contribution in one's life in theory and practice. The list of political and social practices in practical matter is in plenty in Deepak Negi's hands. However, he is also a First Division graduate of Political Science Hons. from Dyal Singh College, DU. His quest for knowledge does not cease here as he continues to pursue Law in Faculty of Law, DU. His belief is that knowledge is something to be cherished and nothing one learns, either in a classroom or outside, is ever a waste. It is an asset to be valued in your Pandora's Box worth of wisdom.
